Almost all graphics software applications can store graphic images asANSI standard Computer Graphics Metafiles (CGM). Visual:CGM translatesthis CGM information into graphics on virtually any display or hardcopydevice.This level of device support is accomplished through Visual:GraphCap, auser-configurable device interface system. GraphCap, with its support formore than 100 graphics devices, is included with Visual:CGM. Support fornew devices can be added, or existing device drivers can be modified byediting the GraphCap database. GraphCap device drivers work foreverything from plotters to high-performance graphics workstations.GraphCap works with a wide variety of graphics devices, includingterminals, film recorders, dot-matrix printers, laser printers, plotters,and ink-jet printers.
